ICMR Lifetime Achievement Award to Kiran Shaw & Dr Cyrus Poonawalla by Bill Gates

The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi, the apex body in India for the formulation, coordination and promotion of biomedical research, is one of the oldest medical research bodies in the world. ICMR celebrated 108th Foundation Day on 15th November. ICMR has 26 institutes.


Indian Council of Medical Research @ICMRDELHI conferred Lifetime Achievement Award for Outstanding Contribution in Health to Kiran Mazumdar Shaw @kiranshaw, Chiarman of @Biocon for their significant contribution to science and medical research in India. ICMR also conferred Lifetime Achievement Award for Outstanding Contribution in Health to Dr Cyrus Poonawalla. Dr. Cyrus Poonawalla, Chairman of Poonawalla Group which includes the privately owned Serum Institute of India, India's top biotech company.


ICMR also conferred Lifetime Achievement Award for Outstanding Contribution in Health to Dr Prakash Amte of Lok Biradari Prakalp. STWs of India developed with the goal of empowering primary, secondary and tertiary care towards achieving #UHC were released by @BillGates, Dr V K Paul @NITIAayog, @ProfBhargava & @ibhushan. National Institute of Health @NIH, @gatesfoundation and @ICMRDELHI will collaborate to advance clinical health research in India.
