Three Centres for Excellence to be set up in new campus of NIPER-Guwahati

3rd convocation of National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Guwahati (NIPER-Guwahati) was held with a day-long program at the Institute of Advanced Study in Science & Technology (IASST) auditorium of Guwahati.

In his welcome address, Dr URN Murthy, the director of National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Guwahati, emphasized the progress made by the institute in the past 2 years. He proudly announced the financial supports received by the institute to establish the three different centres for excellences in the new campus of NIPER-Guwahati. Prominent personalities present in the convocation included all BoG members from different academic and industrial backgrounds.

Prof Anil D Sahasrabudhe, Chairman, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) graced the event as Chief Guest. Dr Narahari Sastry, Director, CSIR-NEIST, Jorhat, attended this event as guest of honour. Dr S Chandrasekhar, Director, CSIR-IICT Hyderabad, Chairman, Board of Governors (BoG) of NIPER-Guwahati chaired the convocation.

In the convocation ceremony, officially 100 students got their degrees and nine students received gold medals. These students belong to the NIPER-Guwahati batches of 2015-2017, 2016-2018 and 2017-2019.
