Shri Shripad Yesso Naik took charge of the office of the Union Minister of State for AYUSH (I/C) in New Delhi today. He also holds the portfolio of the Union Minister of State for Defence. Shri Naik was Union Minister of State for AYUSH in the previous government. Vaid Shri Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Minister of Ayush welcomed the MoS for Ayush.
In another development Shri Mansukh Mandaviya took the charge of Minister of State (Independent Charge), Shipping as well as Chemicals and Fertilizers. In his second term as a Union minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers, D V Sadananda Gowda is looking forward to completing a lot of projects he had previously taken up.
Dr. Harsh Vardhan, an ENT specialist and a former five-time MLA also took the charge of Minister of Health and Family Welfare. Dr Harsh Vardhan was appointed Minister of Health and Family Welfare during the Narendra Modi government's first stint in 2014 and later, given the charge of the Ministry of Earth Sciences and Ministry of Science and Technology.
Ashwini Kumar Choubey has been retained as the Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare in the 17th Lok Sabha under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He also took the charge alongwith Dr. Harsh Vardhan.
