BoA chairman, member & Director of Accuprec participated in Intellectual Property Facilitation C

Education Department, Government of Gujarat has launched IP guideline for academia. As per the IP guideline for academia in Gujarat, a State level Intellectual Property Facilitation Center (IPFC) has been setup under Education Department, Gujarat. Under the guidance of Ms. Anju Sharma, Principal Secretary from Education Department, Government of Gujarat and Ms. Avantika Singh Aulakh, Director, Technical Education & CEO of Gujarat Knowledge Society, First meeting of Intellectual Property Facilitation Center (IPFC) was held at Gandhinagar in which on bahalf of Accuprec Research Labs - Shri Padmin Buch, Chairman of BoA, Dr. Manish Rachchh, Director & CEO and Shri Anil Pandey, Member of BoA actively participated. Dr. Unnat Pandit form Niti Ayog & Shri Hirnanmay Mahanta, Director of GTU Innovation Council among dignitaries present in the meeting. Strategical Planning about future roadmap was discussed.

Following members of State level Advisory committee for IP participated in the meeting:

  1. Prof P.V.M. Rao, IIT Delhi (Chairperson)

  2. Representative of Technology Information, Forecasting and Assessment Council (TIFAC), Department of Science and Technology (DST) on IPR

  3. Dr. Purnima Sharma, Managing Director, Biotech Consortium India Limited (BCIL) , Department of Biotechnology (DBT),Government of India

  4. Dr. V. Premnath, Venture Center, National Chemical Laboratory (NCL), Pune

  5. Mr. Anil Pandey, Deputy Director & Head – IPFC, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) & Member of BoA at Accuprec Research Labs Pvt. Ltd

  6. Mr. Padmin Buch, Senior Visiting Faculty, Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII) & BoA chairman of Accuprec Research Labs Pvt. Ltd

  7. Dr. Alpesh Pathak, Global IP Head, INTAS Pharma

  8. Dr. Manish Rachchh, Director (R&D), Accuprec Research Labs Pvt. Ltd

  9. Dr. T. Ramakrishna, Professor of Law Chair Professor (IPR).National Law School, Bangalore

IPFC will be broadly responsible to deploy mandates of these guidelines across academia at grassroots level. IPFC will have end to end IPR support mechanism and assist universities from time to time in effective implementation of these IP guidelines. IPFC should have access to quality IPR database and tools which can support prior art search and other related processes. IPFC will also receive the innovation and ecosystem reporting matrix and track the progress of the overall objective of the IPR policies for academia in Gujarat.
