Food and Drug Control Administration (FDCA), Gujarat organised one - Day Inspector Training Program on ‘GLP with special emphasis on Quality Control and Quality Assurance Metrics’ in Technical Collaboration with Accuprec Research Labs Pvt. Ltd on 29th January at Hotel Pride Plaza, Ahmedabad.
Under the guidance of Dr. H.G. Koshia, Commissioner, FDCA - Gujarat, Team of Experts gave guidance to around 75 Drug Inspectors & Senior Drug Inspectors. Mr. V.R.Shah (I/c Jt. Commissioner, FDCA) & Dr. D.M. Patel, (I/c Jt. Commissioner, FDCA) spoke on the occasion. Mr.V.R.Shah said that Pharma sector is poised to revamp in next 10 years. So our roles as Inspector, Auditor & Investigator will also be changed. Due to this FDCA has planned continuous learning as a part of the job. There is a famous quote of Albert Einstein says that, “Once you stop learning, you start dying”. From my vast experience in this field, I can say that each & every learning experience is an opportunity. Keeping this in mind, we have organised the program in technical association with Accuprec Research Labs for enhancing practical knowledge and to improve our skills with the help of latest updates in the field of Pharmaceuticals.
Renowned IPR Expert & BoA Chairman, Accuprec Shri Padmin Buch described about how to remain updated in the age of globalisation. He put emphasis on Data Integrity. He gave various examples from his own experience and gave tips about how to tackle the problem. Dr. Manish Rachchh (Director -R & D and CEO, Accuprec) gave presentation on “Key Attributes of Good Laboratory Practices as per OECD & USFDA”, Mr. Chirag Khambhati (ASM, Agilent India Limited) on “Overview of Chromatographic Systems”, Mr. Zankar Shah (Asst. Manager - QC, Accuprec) on “Interpretation of Chromatographic Data - Inspector Perspective” and Ms. Priyanka Thakkar (Expert consultant for USFDA) on “Quality Assurance Matrices & Data Integrity - Inspector Perspective”.
