A great deal of conversations can happen over a cup of tea. That’s what happened, in real, for the first of its kind ‘Chai Pe Charcha’ event held at DPSRU. The alumni of DIPSAR (College of Pharmacy) & DPSRU gathered under one roof with the students of the university for a mentor-mentee interaction. This event was the first such event from DAF (DPSRU Alumni Forum), with a membership of 1200 members & increasing, and soon to be a registered alumni forum of DPSRU.
We had alumni such as Dr. Roop Kishen Khar, Former Dean, Jamia Hamdard University, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences; Dr. Naresh Sharma, Deputy Drug Controller, CDSCO & President, IPA Delhi state branch; Mr. Rajiv Duggal, MD Pheasantz Dermatologica, along with the alumni of the university who have graduated from the university more than 20 years back.
There were discussions from the experienced professionals from their respective fields of research, quality control, analysis, clinical research, regulatory, marketing & sales that enlightened the students. Suggestions were formulated & discussed about how the distinguished alumni from the university can collaborate for a better engagement with the students. The engaging discussions were given an inspiring direction by the hon’ble Vice Chancellor of DPSRU, Prof. Ramesh K. Goyal, who enlightened the audience on the path followed by an idea when it moves from ideation to commercialization.
An engaging day, where time knew no boundaries, where knowledge expanded from the board room of the university to across the globe, what an enriching day it was, to welcome the country’s 70th Republic Day.
