The 12th convocation of Ganpat University was organized in the kind presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shree Vijaybhai Rupani, Deputy Chief Minister, Shree Nitinbhai Patel, MD & CEO of Maruti Suzuki India Limited Mr. Kenichi Ayukawa, Shree Rupesh Singh and other dignitaries of corporate and industry sector of the national and international repute. Among the total 2539 students and faculties from various disciplines including 72 from Pharmacy 76 Ph.Ds & Gold Medalists were awarded with degrees & medals by the guests present in the convocation.
The occasion was beautified by the special presence of Shree Rupesh Singh, CEO of ECA, Australia, Shri Gurmeet Singh, MD & Chairman, Johnson Controls – Hitachi Air Conditioning India Ltd., the President Shri Ganpatbhai Patel, Director General, Shri Mahendra Sharma, Deans of all faculties, principals and invited guests; the district magistrate and collectors shri H. K. Patel, senior police officers, professors and guardians and awardees students, made the ceremony a great success.
Before the opening of the 12th Convocation ceremony of the university, the newly built with Olympic level facilities sport complex named Vikram Neil Sport Academy was inaugurated by the chief minister of Gujarat Shri Vijaybhai Rupani & Deputy Chief Minister Shri Nitinbhai Patel, Mr. Kenichi and other invited guests.
The academy has been built up in 25 aches of land with world class sport facilities of Olympic status like play-grounds, sport equipment and other facilities which includes state and national level matches of cricket, football as well as running track, basketball, volleyball, tennis, swimming pool, yoga, Aerobics and squash and other indoor and outdoor sports.
Among the total 2539 students awardees are included 934 students from faculty of Engineering & Technology, 72 students of Faculty of Pharmacy, 531 students of Faculty of Computer Application, 263 students of Faculty of Management Studies, 603 students of Faculty of Sciences, 3 students of Faculty of Education & 133 students of Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities. Among all these total 76 students were awarded Gold medals for their extraordinary scholastic academic performances, Among total 2539 students awardees total 817 girl students and total 1722 boys students obtained their degrees today.
While giving his welcome address, Director general Prof. Dr. Mahendra Sharma mentioned the eye catching achievements of Ganpat University in the field of research, skill development initiatives with various industries for employability development achievements obtained in sports & culture, among which the world class JIM ( Japan India Manufacturing Institute, was conspicuous.
In his convocation address , the Chief Guest of the occasion & CM of Gujarat Shri Vijaybhai Rupani, while congratulating the awardee students, conveyed that the Degree they have achieved is an endorsement of the achievements of life. He added that when they go in society with the degree, it becomes important also that from which university they have achieved the degree. Ganpat University is a prestigious university and they are fortunate that they are obtaining their degrees from the Ganpat University.
He, at this occasion, advised these graduating students to do well of their parents because they were strived hard to make them able to reach and achieve the degree. After that, he advised the students that they should be highly accountable for the development of society, state and nation. Also he advised them to use their knowledge for the betterment of human society and nation as well.
He invoked the students to give their best to the dreams of our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for “New India Initiatives’. While appreciating the establishment of the sport Academy he pointed out that they should make their body strong along with their mind. He reminded of Swami Vivekananda for his all-round development.
Mr. kenichi Ayukawa , ND & CEO , Maruti Suzuki expressed his happiness for being present for the first time in such event like a convocation ceremony and expressed his best wishes to the awardee students. He also expressed whole hearted happiness for the smooth and successful run of the JIM.
The patron-in-chief and president shri Ganpatbhai Patel remembered his old memories of earlier days of the establishment of the campus. He mentioned that the land was full of BHANTIYAS; it was quite barren. He pointed out that you start a work at any point of time but if with true commitment and confidence, the success is sure to be achieved. He appreciated the contribution of late shri Anilbhai Patel and he blessed the graduating students to be happy in life. The registrar, shri Amitbhai Patel presented the gold medalists and Ph.D. students. Prof. R. K. Patel, the Dy. Director expressed vote of the thanks.
