Pharma professionals should become 'Labtop Researcher' instead of 'Laptop Researcher'. Prof.(Dr) R.K. Goyal, Hon. Vice Chancellor of Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University (DPSRU), the 1st Pharmacy University of India said.

Dr. Goyal enlighten staff of Accuprec ResearchLab in 7th Accupulse Lecture. He touched upon many interesting aspects on the topic: Interdiscinary Approch for Drug Discovery & Development. He gave examples from his wide experience & vast knowledge and gave details about the latest developments in the Pharmaceuticals field.

Dr. Goyal was earlier Vice Chancellor of M.S. University Vadodara. He has over 40 years of experience in Teaching and Research particularly in Cardiovascular Pharmacology & Diabetes. He was a post-doctoral scholar and visiting scientist at in Canadian universities He is has been the Chairman of CRC of AICTE, Bhopal and Member, EC of AICTE, New Delhi. Dr Goyal has three patents, 18 books, 26 book chapters, over 311 full papers (‘h’ index 40), over 500 abstracts published in National and International journals. He has guided 44 Ph.D. and 179 M. Pharm. students. He is the recipient of 65 awards.

Dr. Manish Rachchh, Director & CEO and Mayur Kandoriya, Director & CMO welcomed the world class guest of Accupulse lecture series by presenting him a memento. Whole staff enjoyed the expert lecture and learned a lot which can be useful in Research as well as Analysis and Pharmacological studies.

We are living in the age of Genetic Revolution, in which Human Genome Project: 30,000 gene targets identified. Gene based therapy, Individual Drug Therapy as well as Proteomics and Genomics are upcoming points of focus.

Personalized/Genomic Medicine will be next big thing in Healthcare. Using genomic information about an individual as part of his/her comprehensive health care for diagnostic or therapeutic decision-making will be done.
