Shri Padmin Buch, Accuprec BoA Chairman got the prestigious IP Samaritan of the Year - 2018 Award. In the Intellectual Property Fest organised by The Intellectual Property Protection Organisation [IPPO] - a reputed IP knowledge organisation, the Award was given to Shri Buch for recognizing his outstanding contribution to the domain of Intellectual Property Rights ( IPR). The Award was conferred on Friday , August 03, 2018 during the award ceremony at IP - Fest, 2018, Hotel Renaissance by Marriott, Ahmedabad.
Shri Mulubhai Kandoriya, Managing Director and other 3 directors of Accuprec - Dr. Rina Gokani, Director & CSO, Dr. Manish Rachchh, Director & CEO and Shri Mayur Kandoriya, Director & CMO said that the work done in the field of IPR by Shri Buch is really matter of pride for us. It is noteworthy that Shri Buch was the only IPR expert, who received the award for his personal contribution. IP Samaritan of the Year Award is given to a person for the Samaritan who is a Non-legal Practitioner, individual or working with non-legal organisation and has generated awareness or contributed to the subject of Intellectual Property.
Shri Buch is recognized as one of the National expert in IPR domain. He is acclaimed as one who has contributed tremendously in creating and spreading IPR awareness among industry, business and academia. In his brief speech during the IP - Fest, Padmin Buch emphasized the need for Start-ups and MSMEs to be innovative and importantly protect such innovations through IPR. He said that Government at the State and Central level extends support for the same. "
Shri Padmin Buch is currently working as a Project Management and IPR domain expert. Before this he was working as Managing Director I/c.; GITCO, Ahmedabad. Earlier he worked with Sarabhai Group, Baroda in the area of Production & Production planning. He possesses more than 25 years of combined experience in Industry and Consultancy & Development work in Project Management and IPR fields. His special initiative includes establishment of Patent Assistance Cell (PAC) at GITCO. GITCO Patent Cell has filed 60 patents so far as well as Knowledge partner to several national & international seminars on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). He serves as a National expert for Cluster Development Programmes at Indore, Hyderabad & Dehradun by SIDBI & Foundation for MSME Clusters, New Delhi. He is giving guidance in many National & International Conferences on IPR and serves as a visiting faculty at EDII, AMA, FICCI, CII, GTU, NIRMA UNI., CEPT University and other Institutions in Gujarat & outside.
He is involved in many Government committees like – Technology Up gradation Fund Committee; Government of Gujarat - Steering Committee on IPR, GUJCOST, Gandhinagar - Chairman, Extension Services Committee and Member Governing Council, Ahmedabad Management Association (AMA), - Member, Executive Committee, Indian Pharmaceutical Association(IPA), Gujarat branch - On the Board of M/s. Bhagwati Autocast Ltd., Ahmedabad - Honorary Director, Troikaa Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Ahmedabad - Advisory member, GTU Intellectual Property Facilitation Center (IPFC) - Co- Chairman, Foreign Trade Committee, GCCI. - Chairman, USIIC council of Pharmaceuticals & IPR. He received The Pedagogical Innovation Award-2013 from The Gujarat Technological University (GTU) for innovative contribution in the field of IPR & Patents.
