“Skills acquired by the youth will be a defining factor in building a strong future for the country”, Dr. Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, CMD, Biocon Limited said. Kiran Shaw delivered keynote address titled 'Managing The Future' to the young enterprising graduates of IFIM Business School, Bangalore at their 22nd Annual Convocation.

She said that Scale, scope & complexicity will be immense in 4th industrial revolution. Technologies are converging between physical & biological sphere. It is disrupting in every country. Mackenzie predicted many jobs will be vanished as artificial intelligence will be in offing, but I am very optimistic that multiple fold businesses will increase. Next few decades will be of cutting edge technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Quantum computing, Data Science, Cloud computing will shake up businesses & transform our lives. This revolution will also produce huge opportunies.

Technology has so much potential that we have to change the way we Live, work & relates to the world will change. Kodak & Dell like companies replaced by Apple & Facebook from Fortune 500 list. This is the disruptive power of the technology.The future will belong to fast moving small companies, which will speedily adopt new technologies. We are living in the world where innovation is the key. Today's world is very different. Excitement & opportunities will be there in the new world. Economies will survive who support innovation. Need of the hour is creativity, imaginanation & innovation. We have to chanange the way of education. Curiosity-driven learning will have to be replaced, she added.
