Amneal Introduces Memantine Hydrochloride Capsule for Alzheimer's disease

Amneal Pharmaceuticals has launched memantine hydrochloride extended-release capsules, the company's AB-rated equivalent for Namenda XR®, in 7 mg, 14 mg, 21 mg and 28 mg strengths. The product is manufactured here in the United States in the company's recently expanded Brookhaven, New York facility. Annual U.S. sales of Namenda XR® were $929 million, according to December 2017 QuintilesIMS market data.
