PLASTINDIA 2018 - the 10th edition of PLASTINDIA EXHIBITIONS is being organised during February 7-12, 2018 at The ExhibitionCentre, Helipad Grounds, Gandhinagar. Team of Accuprec Research Labs Pvt. Gujarat to set up second Plastics Park at Sanand; process on to set up Plastindia International University at Vapi
Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today said that the government has decided to set up the state’s second Plastics Park at Sanand near Ahmedabad as part of the new Specific Plastic Policy being framed to encourage startups and make the industry entrepreneur-friendly. The first Dedicated Plastics Park was set up at Dahej in Bharuch.
Inaugurating the 10th International Plastics Exhibition and Convention, Plastindia-2018, here, he said the process to set up the Plastindia International University to lend pace to research and development, recycling and new inventions, at Vapi is on. The objective is to make plastic industry zero defect and environment-friendly.
He said that Gujarat already produces over 50 per cent of country’s polymers and recycles one-fourth of plastic wastes in the country to emerge as the most eco-friendly state. Nearly 82,000 people are employed in 10,000 units, mostly in the MSME sector, with an investment of Rs.5,500-crore in the industry. Referring to incentives announced for MSME sector by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi Government in the latest Union Budget for 2018-19, he said the Gujarat Government also provides incentive of seven per cent interest subsidy.
Nearly 2,000 exhibitors from all over India and 50 delegates-exhibitors from abroad are attending the five-day event, till February 12.
Speaking on the occasion Energy Minister Saurabhbhai Patel said that Gujarat has emerged as Plastic Capital of Gujarat and an ideal place for exhibition, because of its availability of raw materials and business-friendly policy and ‘ease of doing business’. He asked the organizers to hold the next exhibition of 2021 in Gujarat.
