A Workshop on “Application of Analytical Techniques for Herbal Drugs Research” was Organized by Department of Pharmacognosy, Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University under the Center for Continuing Education (CCE), Nirma University at Seminar Hall in the Nirma Campus. Dr. Reena Gokani, Director & CSO, Accuprec Research Labs Pvt. Ltd., Ahmedabad presented expert views about “Recent Advancement in Quality Control of Herbal Medicines”, while Dr. Subrata De, Consultant, Zoetic Ayurvedics Pvt. Ltd spoke about “Overview on Applications of Analytical Instruments in Natural Product Research”. Instuments demonstration of GC, FTIR, HPLC, HPTLC & Spectroflouri-metry was also held in the event. Dr. Gokani explained the concept with examples from her wide experience in the field of Herbal Medicines.
Dr. Dipal Gandhi & Dr. Niyati Acharya, Coordinators of the event said that main objective of the workshop is to provide a forum for the discussion of innovative scientific knowledge on aspects of intrumentation techniques and its applications in herbal drug research. The workshop also aims to bring together leading academic scientists, researchers and scholars to exchange and share their experiences and research results on all aspects of application of analytical instruments evaluation of herbal drugs as well as demonstration of various analytical instruments.
