The knowledge based economy has changed the way world pursues the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), which are the forerunners in generating the value and assets for businesses. Developing markets, consistent GDP growth, and globalized market present abundant opportunities for innovation, IPR creation, and exploitation. Therefore, success or failure of businesses in today’s economy heavily depends on right pursuit of the IPR. When the value and asset balance is tilting in favour of the IPR, the Indian industry is looking at new horizons not only in creating and protecting; but also in exploiting opportunities created by the IPR assets.
