Three Pharma parks are coming up in Gujarat

Three Pharma parks are coming up in Gujarat, which will boost manufacturing of medicines. The parks may come up near Sanand and Gandhinagar. This was stated by Mr. Viranchi Shah, Chairman of Gujarat Chapter of Indian Drug Manufacturers Association (IDMA).

He was speaking in 8th Pharmac India exhibition. Around 200 companies participated in the exhibition. He said that as new investment flow is coming up, there is possibilities of double manufaturing in pharma sector by Three years. Mr. Chirag Doshi, Pharmac exhibition committee chairman also addressed the gathering.

Mr. Arvind Kukrety Deputy Drugs Controller from Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSO), BOA members of Accuprec Research Labs - Dr. S.P. Adeshara, Former Commissioner of FDCA, Dr. Jaimin Vasa, Senior Vice Preseident, GCCI and Dr. Manish Rachchh, Director & CEO of Accuprec Research Labs were also present in the event.

Arvind Kukrety, Deputy DCGI said that India’s pharmaceutical success is neither mysterious nor magical. It is only a natural consequence of quality. Focus must always be on science, data integrity, knowing the product well, controlling the production processes regularly and having an established quality culture.

Gujarat accounts for 33% of the national pharmaceuticals market. Its contribution is expected grow and touch 40% by 2020 as the benefits of GST trickle in and a skewed tax structure is ruled out.Gujarat has dispensed 1400 long pending cases under the Prevention of Food Adulteration Act (PFA) in a single day through special courts, Dr. H. G. Koshia, Commissioner, Food & Drug Control Administration (Gujarat) said.
