SMS alert facility for Patent applications operationalized

Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks (CGPDTM) has started the SMS alert facility for the applicants and agents where by they will receive alert informing them the progress of applications at various stages of processing. The alerts will also be indicating the timelines, non-compliance of which may lead to refusal/abandonment of application. In order to avail this facility, applicants and agents are requested to update their mobile numbers in the address for service for applications where mobile no is not already provided through Comprehensive e-filing portal of IPO.
