Honourable Vice Chancellor of Gujarat Technological University (GTU) Prof. (Dr) Navin Sheth and Noted Industrialist Mr. Rajiv Mehta have joined the Board of Advisors of Accuprec Research Labs Pvt. Ltd. The Board is formed under the leadership of well-known IPR expert Mr. Padmin Buch.
Profile of Prof. (Dr.) Navin Sheth:
Prof. (Dr.) N.R. Sheth took over as the Vice-Chancellor of the GTU on December 31, 2016. A renowned educationist and administrator, Dr. N.R. Sheth started his academic career way back in 1979 and during the course of time, emerged as a tireless academician and herbal scientist.
He joined the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Saurashtra University, Rajkot as theProfessor and Head. He has also served the Saurashtra University under various capacities like the Dean, Faculty of Pharmacy, the Chairman, Board of Pharmaceutical Sciences, the Member of the Senate and the Academic Council.
A distinguished academician, staunch disciplinarian and an efficient administrator, Dr. Sheth has also been the Member of the Peer Teams of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council - NAAC and NBA. He has also served as theMemberand Chairman of the various Committees ofUGC/ AICTE /DST/ GUJCOST and several Universities in India. He had been the Advisor and later on, Member of the GPSC. Expert Committees. In 2016, he took over as the chairman of the Board of Pharmacy education, AICTE.
Prof. Sheth has attended many national and international conferences in India and abroad. His research interests include Traditional Drugs, Herbal Drugs and Standardization, Herbal formulations. His exuberant involvement in R&D has been recognized by his 100+ publications including 65 technical papers in renowned research journals, 37 papers in National Conferences 18 papers in the International Conferences.
Till 2016, 18 research scholars had successfully completed their doctoral research under his guidance.At present, 8 research scholars are pursuing their Ph.D. under his supervision. About 21 of his former PG students are occupying key positions in the various fields of Pharmacy.
Dr. Sheth has been associated with variousnational and international associations and professional bodies as a member or a life member; these include Indian Society of Technical Education, Indian Pharmaceutical Association, Indian Society for Pharmacognosy, the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India, All India Council Of Technical Education (AICTE) and Pharmacy Council Of India ( PCI).
Profile of Mr. Rajiv Mehta:
Mr. Rajiv Mehta is well-known industrialist. Various positions he held includes Executive Director of CEL Packaging Private limited. It is one of India’s Largest Corrugated Packaging Company & Executive Director of Chrysalis Finance Limited (CFL). CFL is Non-Banking financial company. He is Founder Member & Coordinator of Eklavya Education Foundation. He is Vice President - Ahmedabad Management Association (AMA) and Member Regional Governig Board Indian Institute of Packaging ( IIP).
He has taken many sessions in the subjects like Packaging, Management, Logistics, Retail Marketing at various colleges, Ahmedabad Management Association, Indian Institute of Managment, Various Chamber of Commerces, Exim Club, CII, IIMM etc… He has international Business exposure through many foreign tours to more than 30 countries in Asia, Africa, Europe and America.
