‘Indian Pharmacist: Inceptive…Innovative…Interactive…’ will be the theme of Pharmavision 2017


Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), largest student organization in the world, is organizing “PHARMA VISION 2017” a National level seminar for students & faculties of pharmacy institutions of India since last seven years.

This year 8th PHARMA VISION 2017 is to be organized with the theme ‘Indian Pharmacist: Inceptive…Innovative…Interactive…’ during 9th and 10th September – 2017 at Arihant School of Pharmacy and Bioresearch Institute, Adalaj, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. This year more than 1300 students will participate in the mega event.

PHARMAVISION has been conceptualized with a goal of providing an interactive platform to aspiring UG, PG students & research scholars of pharma fraternity. A platform where, budding pharmacists can interact with who’s who of pharma field by means of oral, poster and model presentations, explore their hidden potential in Pharma recipe, Quiz, Dare to Sell (Digital Marketing) and incept by indulging in Inncrepharm (Innovation & Creativity in Pharma).

Under the guidance of Dr C N Patel, National Vice President of ABVP and Dean of Gujarat Technological University (GTU) and Shri Rishabh Jain, Chairman of Arihant Seva Samiti Trust, Team of Dr Ragin Shah, Dr Ankit Chaudhary, Dr Hitesh Karen, Dr. D.M. Patel and Shri Jainik Khamar are working hard to make the event a big success. Accuprec Reasearch Labs Pvt Ltd and Emcure Pharma are among wide range of industries which are supporting the event.

Objectives:

  • To promote dissemination of the knowledge

  • To spread awareness amongst the students and academicians about the current scenario and future prospects in pharma sector

  • To boost growth of pharma sector by encouraging young pharmacists to develop innovative, competitive and cost effective solutions of pharma issues

Detail of events:

Oral, Poster & Model Presentation Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Quality Assurance, Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacy, Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry.

Abstract for Presentation : Not more than 250 words. Poster size : 1 sq.m. (3 x 3 Feet).

Oral Presentation : 7 + 3 min. (First name should be of presenting author).

Quiz One team per college, three students per team Elimination round will be conducted if more number of entries. Decision of judges will be considered as final.

Dare to sell (Digital Marketing)

Unlimited teams per college, two student per team.

Maximum time for audio-video presentation - 5 minutes plus 3 minutes for discussion.

Only self prepared promotional material should be used.

Inncrepharm (Innovation and Creativity in Pharma) Unlimited team per college, Two students per team. Poster (size 3 X 2 feet) should include innovative / creative idea(s) as means of newer scope/ horizon or applications in pharma field.

​Pharma Recipe Making One team per college, three students per team. There will be one recipe which has to be formulated by each group. Only name of ingredients will be given to each group but procedure will not be disclosed.

Ingredients of formula, glass wares, necessary requirement and equipments/ instruments will be provided but team members will have to bring their own general and special requirements if any.

Each group will decide how to formulate their dosage form and will get one hour for preparation and submission of formulation in suitable container with appropriate label. Judgement will be based on selection of dosage form, quality of formulation prepared, labeling, general appearance and justification regarding each ingredient and formulation.

Arihant School of Pharmacy & Bio-Research Institute (ASP&BRI) is host of the event. The institute is one of the growing degree pharmacy colleges of Gujarat managed by Arihant Seva Samiti Trust. Under the leadership of visionary Chairman - Shri Rishabh Jain, the trust has added one more feather to its cap by promoting India's first 'Swarnim Startup & Innovation University' (SSIU) in 2017.
