Special plant of Alembic Pharma for medicines of cancer inaugurated

Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani has inaugurated special plant for medicines of cancer of one of the most prominent medicine companies Alembic Pharmaceuticals Ltd. in Panelav village situated in Ta. Halol of Panchmahal district. The plant has been constructed with a cost of Rs. 300 crore.

In his address, Mr. Rupani said that researches are continuously take place from ancient era to prevent people from several serious diseases. But the researches to prevent from the deadly disease such as cancer will be proved as public welfare for human beings. Various new inventions are happening in various sectors through the initiatives launched by our Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi such as Make In India, Start Up India. In India we have adopted encouraging policies to overcome new challenges happening in research and development sector. While Gujarat is going to realize the concept of ‘Make In Gujarat’ to overcome the challenges through new inventions in R & D sector.

He congratulated the Alembic Pharmaceutical Company for carry out new researches to prevent from deadly disease cancer. Mr. Rupani said that Gujarat is at the forefront in the medicine industry. 80% of the total medicines of the country are produced only in Gujarat. In such a scenario, the state government has announced as many as 17 crystal clear policies in manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and defense to facilitate more investment which has resulted in Gujarat becoming an investment destination leading to a transformation of the economy of the state.

A single window clearance system has been created as a part of the ‘Ease of Doing Business’ policy for facilitating easy investment which has resulted in investment from various named companies leading to employment opportunities for the youth of the state in the coming days.

Mr. Rupani also said that 250 generic medicine stores have been started in the state under the Pradhan Mantri Deendayal Jan Aushadhi Yojana and by the end of this year, 1000 stores shall be opened. He also added that the state government provides an aid of Rs. 2 lakh to 35 lakh poor and the middle class families for treatment of various ailments under the Maa Vaatsalya Yojana. He further added that the state government is determined to take Gujarat to heights unimaginable on the path laid down by the then Chief Minister and the current Prime Minister, Mr. Narendrabhai Modi. He appealed one and all to be efficient enough to take the nation on a never achieved state of development when India is gaining name and fame under the effective leadership of the PM.

Road and Building Minister, Mr. Jaydrathsinh Parmar said that various new industries are coming up in Halol due to its holistic development which will result in employment opportunities for its local residents.

The chairman of Alembic group of companies said that an investment of Rs. 300 crores has been made to build a modern cancer plant where inn 60 million capsules and tablets and 20 million injection vials shall be produced. This will make the Alembic group competent enough to export medicines for cancer treatment. Various medicines manufactured in this plant will be exported. Mr. Amin gave details on the various kinds of social work undertaken by the company under CSR.
